The Department of Equipment and Engineering of Processing and Food Production was established by the order of the Rector on September 1, 1993, as the Department of Mechanization of Processing and Storage of Agricultural Products – a leading special department of the Faculty of Processing and Storage of Agricultural Products (now – Educational and Scientific Institute of Processing and Food Productions).
Education and career In 1958 he graduated from Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute with a degree in Wheeled and Tracked Machines. In 1964 he graduated from the Department of Automobile and Tractor Construction of KhPI. After graduating from the institute he worked as a master, head of the technical department of the shop, then – a researcher, director of the Eastern branch of the Ukrainian Research Institute of Mechanization and Electrification of Agriculture. Since 1973 – Associate Professor of “Tractors and Cars” of the Kharkiv Institute of Mechanization and Electrification of Agriculture. From 1978 to 2020 – Head of the Department “Tractors and Cars” Kharkiv Petro Vasylenko National Technical University of Agriculture. Research activities In 1964 he defended his dissertation on the specialty “cars and tractors”, whose scientific supervisor was Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor Mikhail Medvedev, the founder of tractor construction in Ukraine. In 1982 he defended his doctoral dissertation in two specialties – “operation and repair of agricultural machinery”, “cars and tractors”. In 1985 he was awarded the academic title of professor. Head of the scientific school “Tractor Energy”, the scientific direction of which is the innovative development of tractor energy, the dynamics of tractor units, operational manufacturability of tractors. 8 doctoral and 35 candidate dissertations were defended under scientific supervision. Among the students are heads of departments of the Ministry of Ukraine, rectors of higher education institutions, the Minister of Science and Education of Guinea. Member of specialized councils for the defense of doctoral and candidate dissertations at the Kharkiv Petro Vasylenko National Technical University of Agriculture and Kharkiv National Automobile and Road University. To assist in the training of highly qualified specialists in the field of foreign tractors, leaders of the world tractor industry companies “John Deere” and “CASE”, for the first time in Ukraine created training centers at the department. The main task of the centers is to coordinate the training of users of modern foreign equipment, service managers, and sales managers, the opportunity for future professionals to gain high practical skills on modern equipment and with the help of advanced technologies.

Education and career 1964 – graduated from the Kharkiv Economic Institute with a degree in “Organization and Economics of the Machine-Building Industry.” 1962 – designer of the first category of the Scientific and Technical Association Kharkiv Electrotechnical Plant (NTOHEMZ). 1977 – Head of the Vibroacoustic Laboratory of the Electrotechnical Institute NTOHEMZ. 1993 – Head of the Laboratory of Vibrodiagnostic Methods for Diagnosing Agricultural Machinery of the Eastern Branch of the Institute of Mechanization and Electrification of Agriculture of the Ukrainian Academy of Agrarian Sciences. 1995 – Deputy Director for Research (SF IMESH UAAS). 2000 – doctoral student of Kharkiv State University of Agriculture. 2003 – Associate Professor of Technical Operation and Car Service of the Kharkiv Automobile and Road Institute. 2005 – awarded the academic title of associate professor of technical operation and service of cars. 2005 – Professor of the Department of Technical Operation and Service of Cars. 2008 – awarded the academic title of Professor of Technical Operation and Service of Cars. 2018 to present Professor of the Department of Tractors and Cars of the Educational and Scientific Institute of Mechatronics and Management Systems of Kharkiv Petro Vasylenko National Technical University of Agriculture. Research activities 1976 – defended his dissertation for the degree of candidate of technical sciences in the specialty of machine use and machine parts. 2003 – defended his dissertation for the degree of Doctor of Technical Sciences in the specialty of cars and tractors. On the topic “Vibration methods for assessing the quality of tractors at the stage of design, manufacture, and operation” Scientific publications Author of 170 scientific papers, including 7 monographs, 1 textbook, and 42 textbooks on technical diagnostics; cybernetics of road transport; mechatronic, telepathic, and intelligent systems of cars and tractors, monitoring of the technical operation of cars; theory of technical operation of cars. Of which 7 textbooks were published abroad, 4 works were published in Scopus. Awards He was awarded the badge of “honorary professor” by Kharkiv National Automobile and Road University.
An integral part of the educational process at the university is the involvement of students in research work, which promotes the development of future professionals’ creative skills, critical thinking, initiative, and other professional qualities.
The admission campaign has officially started in Ukraine on July 1, when entrants can create their own electronic cabinets for submitting documents to institutions of higher and professional higher education. According to the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, for the first day (from 09:00 on July 1 to 09:00 on July 2) entrants created more than 38 thousand electronic cabinets. Despite the significant load due to the mass attendance on the first day of registration, the site vstup.edbo.gov.ua operates normally.
