About the department

The Department of Equipment and Engineering of Processing and Food Production was established by the order of the Rector on September 1, 1993, as the Department of Mechanization of Processing and Storage of Agricultural Products – a leading special department of the Faculty of Processing and Storage of Agricultural Products (now – Educational and Scientific Institute of Processing and Food Productions).

In 2001 it was renamed into the department “Technologies and equipment of processing and food production” in connection with the licensing of the direction of training “Food technologies and engineering”.

In 2005 it was renamed into the department “Equipment and processes of processing and food production” after the separation of the department “Technology of processing and storage of grain”.

In 2006 it was renamed the Department of “Equipment and Engineering of Processing and Food Production” after joining the Department of “Descriptive Geometry and Drawing”.

For the level of higher education “Bachelor”

  • Engineering of processing and food industries.

For the level of higher education “Master”

  • Equipment for processing and food production.

The department has sufficient staffing and prospects for its development, 91% of lecture hours in all disciplines assigned to the department are taught by employees with degrees of doctors and candidates of technical and pedagogical sciences, who also provide qualified guidance for undergraduate practice and qualification works (projects).

The teaching of professional disciplines at the department is carried out by 11 teachers, of which 100% are full-time employees. 10 people, or 91%, have academic degrees and academic titles. The scientific and pedagogical staff of the graduating department: 1 doctor of technical sciences, professor; 1 candidate of technical sciences, professor; 6 candidates of technical sciences, associate professors; 1 candidate of pedagogical sciences (without academic title); 1 lecturer (without degree). All lecturers correspond to the positions held by their level of training.
