From March 22 to 28, 2021, the celebration of World Money Week took place. Global Money Week is an international educational campaign aimed at expanding young people’s knowledge of finance to build a secure financial future. To increase the financial literacy of Ukrainian youth, the National Bank of Ukraine has developed a rich cognitive-educational and interactive program.
Recently, the city of Sumy hosted the Ukrainian Greco-Roman wrestling championship among wrestlers under the age of 23, which took almost 200 athletes from 13 regions of Ukraine. Kharkiv region was represented at the championship by students of our university, who won several important victories. In particular, Andrii Kulik (FTSL) took first place in the 72 kg weight category, Mykhailo Vishnevetskyi (ESI MMS) took first place in the weight category executioner 130 kg, Artem Riabov (ESI BM) took third place in weights category executioner 63 kg and Vladislav Kovalenko (ESI MMS) took third place in the weights category executioner 130 kg.
Due to the high level of epidemic danger associated with the spread of acute respiratory disease COVID-19, in the Kharkiv region is working to vaccinate the population, including education workers. University staff wishing to be vaccinated should provide information to the heads of departments.
On April 5, 2021, the All-Ukrainian scientific-practical conference of students and young scientists “Market Technologies and Business Analytics”, organized by the Department of Marketing and Media Communications of the Petro Vasylenko Kharkiv National Technical University of Agriculture, started at our university. The conference was co-organized by Council of Young Scientists at the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, Council of Young Scientists at Kharkiv Regional State Administration, NGO “Association of Marketers of Ukraine”, Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, National Technical University “Dnipro Polytechnic”, Sumy National Agrarian University, Poltava State Agrarian University, Berdyansk State Pedagogical University, Hryhoriy Skovoroda University in Pereyaslav.
Mykola Marchenko, a student of the ESI TS, won the second round of the All-Ukrainian competition of student research papers in the specialty “Industrial Engineering (Lifting and transport, road, construction, reclamation machinery, and equipment)” and was awarded a first-degree diploma at the final scientific-practical conference.
Spring fieldwork, as well as practical classes for students, have started in the training and research farm of KhNTUSG. Currently, due to quarantine restrictions, students undergo practical training in absentia to continue it in the summer in the field. Professor VM Vlasovets and associate professor A. Gorbanyov tell students about the features of agricultural work, which is carried out in one of the fields of education and research economy of the university.
On April 9 at 11.00 the Department of media communications of KhNTUA will hold an online seminar on information support of the university in modern conditions.
In March 2021, Global Money Week was held in Ukraine for schoolchildren and students of higher education institutions – a series of educational events for children and youth in the field of financial awareness. This event was launched in 2012 in Ukraine and is held in more than 170 countries at the initiative of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development. The official coordinator of Global Money Week 2021 events in Ukraine is the National Bank of Ukraine, as a representative of Ukraine in the International Network of Financial Education of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development and a member of the International Working Group Global Money Week at the OECD.

The rapid climate change that is taking place today requires agribusiness to make precise, balanced decisions. Optimal management for each square meter of field is not the future, but a requirement of time. Such management is successfully implemented by precision farming technologies. To date, there are comprehensive solutions from our partners – representatives of John Deere and Case IH. Students in the educational programs of the Educational and Scientific Institute of Mechatronics and Management Systems are already studying them in classes and workshops conducted by representatives of leading companies in the industry. But there are a number of small and medium-sized farms, agricultural enterprises that use a wide range of different brands of units. For such farms, the equipment from the world leader in systems of exact agriculture – the Trimble company is most often used.
As part of a comprehensive regional program to ensure public safety and order and combat crime in the Kharkiv region for 2020-2022, Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs conducts an annual monitoring study “Security and Trust”. Meet Ezin Leslie Charmel – a student of our university, studying in the 1st year of the Institute of Mechatronics and Management Systems, majoring in “Agronomy”. Teachers describe her as a persistent and disciplined student, although it is not easy for her to learn because of the language barrier. In the distant African country of Côte d’Ivoire, where she came to Kharkiv (or rather – flew) to study Leslie, the majority of the population speaks French, and in Ukraine, in addition to subjects in the specialty, have to master two languages - English and Ukrainian. That’s why Leslie tries very hard.

Congratulations to Elizaveta Daineko, a student of the Institute of BM (group ZT19-10b), who received an honorary award – Diploma III degree for participation in the All-Ukrainian competition of scientific works in the specialty “Tourism”. The theme of her work presented at the competition was called “Tourist trails of Belovodsk”.
The European Commission has officially announced the opening of a new Erasmus + Program for 2021-2027. The activities of the Program will focus on three areas – education and professional development; young people; sports.
On March 30, 2021, the Department of Organization of Production, Business and Management of the ESI BM held an online meeting for future entrants “Hospitality of the Department”, where participants were provided with detailed information on specialties 073 “Management” and 281 “Public Administration”, and also on the conditions of admission to our university in 2021.
