The foundation for modern agribusiness

The rapid climate change that is taking place today requires agribusiness to make precise, balanced decisions. Optimal management for each square meter of field is not the future, but a requirement of time. Such management is successfully implemented by precision farming technologies. To date, there are comprehensive solutions from our partners – representatives of John Deere and Case IH. Students in the educational programs of the Educational and Scientific Institute of Mechatronics and Management Systems are already studying them in classes and workshops conducted by representatives of leading companies in the industry. But there are a number of small and medium-sized farms, agricultural enterprises that use a wide range of different brands of units. For such farms, the equipment from the world leader in systems of exact agriculture – the Trimble company is most often used.

It is very nice to see how the beginning of cooperation with the main office of Trimble (Kyiv), which identified the main ways of cooperation of the Institute of MSM for the implementation of precision farming, was continued with the official distributor in the Kharkiv region – LLC TC “ASTERRA”. The regional manager of the company for sales of navigation equipment Borys Yurchenko together with the director of the Institute of MSM prof. Vitalii Vlasovets has already outlined a plan for practical cooperation. And the first step: in the framework of cooperation with the company with the direct participation of the university management, the team of the research farm KhNTUA applicants are already mastering a new system – GPS-navigator, direction indicator Trimble EZ-GUIDE 250 with a reliable high-precision antenna AG-15.

The first part of this year’s educational internships for students of the Institute of Mechanical Engineering and Management of Agricultural Machinery begins on Monday. It is a pleasure to announce that the training will take place with the use of new equipment! The first step is the practical application of the parallel driving system in the educational and research economy of the university. The next step is the introduction into the practical component of the educational components of the departments of optimization of technological systems named after T.P. Yevsyukov and tractors and cars.
