Today, on such a beautiful and sunny winter day, the head of the Department of Marketing and Media Communications of KhNTUA, Doctor of Economics, Professor Oleksandra Mandych celebrates her birthday.
In 1931, the Kharkiv Tractor Plant, which was still under construction, was assigned patronage by the Kharkiv Institute of Mechanization and Electrification of Agriculture. KhIMEA students also participated in the construction of this industrial giant (worked mainly on earthworks) and provided other assistance.

Annual information educational resource “Osvita.ua” publishes consolidated rating of higher education institutions of Ukraine , for which the most authoritative among experts and mass media national ratings of educational institutions of Ukraine are used as initial data: “Top-200 Ukraine”, “Scopus”, “External Evaluation Ball for Contract” and others. Each of them reflects different evaluation criteria for higher education institutions in Ukraine, but in general allows us to see their place among other free educational institutions and the changes that have taken place over the past year. Currently, it is a rating of 2020, which includes almost 240 both public and private higher education institutions in Ukraine.
As we have already informed, a graduate of our university, European champion in Greco-Roman wrestling up to 87 kg and two-time world champion Semen Novikov was recognized as the best athlete of Ukraine in 2020 according to XSPORT . In this regard, Semen has been communicating a lot with journalists lately, sharing “recipes” for his success and plans for the future.
The Erasmus Mundus Joint Master Degrees program has announced a scholarship competition for full higher education in Europe at the master’s level . The master’s programs provide for a full scholarship (tuition, living expenses, textbooks, library, transfer, accommodation, insurance, etc.) to study at the Erasmus Mundus Joint Master’s Programs.
On January 8, 2021, the authoritative scientist and teacher, vice-rector for scientific work of KhNTUA, doctor of technical sciences Viktor Melnyk celebrated his 63rd birthday.
The beginning of 1931 for 2nd and 3rd-year students of the Kharkiv Institute of Mechanization and Electrification of Agriculture began with an order on industrial practice, which they had to pass in MTS and repair shops of the Tractor Center. The Soviet government was preparing for the “second Bolshevik spring,” which was threatened with disruption, including due to a lack of technical personnel. Therefore, on the instructions of party bodies and the leadership of the Tractor Center, KhIMEA students were thrown to help Soviet farms.
On January 6, 2021, at 10.00 a meeting of the scholarship commission of the university took place on-line. The meeting was chaired by a leading specialist of the educational department Liudmyla Sorokina, where issues related to the appointment of academic and social scholarships were considered.
Greco-Roman style wrestler and student of KhNTUА Semen Novikov became the best athlete of Ukraine in 2020 according to the version XSPORТ. He was awarded this title for his gold at the European Championships and bronze at the Individual World Cup (similar to the World Cup for the coronavirus year). Semyon Novikov also became the best athlete in the Kharkiv region.
Kharkiv Petro Vasylenko National Technical University of Agriculture gained access to a full-text database of scientific researchScienceDirect and an international scientometric database Scopus. Subscription from the state budget was provided by the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine by signing an agreement between State Scientific and Technical Library of Ukraine of Ukraine and company Elsevier on access to electronic scientific databases and analytical resources.
On the eve of the New Year, a significant event took place at our university, which will undoubtedly go down in the history of KhNTUA. For outstanding merits in the development of the Kharkiv region and a significant contribution to the development of science and education of Kharkiv region, the rector of the University O. Nanka was awarded the honorary award of the Kharkiv Regional Council “Slobozhanska Slava”.
The year of work of the young structure of KhNTUA – the department of media communications, which was created on the initiative of the rector O. Nanka. From January 1, 2021, the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine and the Ministry of Science and Technology of the People’s Republic of China announced a competition for joint Ukrainian-Chinese research projects for 2021-2022.

From December 28 to 30 open lectures on programming the behavior of flying drones for Ukrainian students were held within the framework of academic cooperation programs with the Professional Technical College of Shanxi Province at the initiative of the Department of International Relations and on the occasion of the 90th anniversary of KhNTUA. The curator of the program is V. Danylenko; he is the Senior Lecturer, Department of Agrologistics and Supply Chain Management, Candidate of Economic Sciences.
