Joint Erasmus Mundus Master’s Programs

The Erasmus Mundus Joint Master Degrees program has announced a scholarship competition for full higher education in Europe at the master’s level . The master’s programs provide for a full scholarship (tuition, living expenses, textbooks, library, transfer, accommodation, insurance, etc.) to study at the Erasmus Mundus Joint Master’s Programs.

The applicant submits the documents online directly to the joint program of your choice (or a maximum of 3 at a time) through the relevant websites, each of which has a coordinating university and a contact person who acts on behalf of the entire partnership.

Deadline for submission of documents: 28.02.2021.

Education will take place at at least two universities from Erasmus + member countries that have developed and organized the relevant joint program of your choice.

Mobility scheme (individual learning trajectory), i.e. in which universities it is studied and in what sequence, is determined by the coordinators of the joint program or offered by the student.

Duration of study is 1/1.5/2 years.

Diploma : Upon successful study, students receive a joint, double, or multilateral diploma of higher education at the appropriate level – Master or Doctor of Philosophy.

Amount of accommodation : Master’s scholarship recipients receive accommodation of € 1,000 per month.

WHO CAN TAKE PART?

• Student / graduate (*) – for education
• Lecturer – teaching unique innovative courses

* Any person, regardless of age and status, who already has at least a bachelor’s degree or is studying in the fourth year (for joint master’s programs), or has a master’s degree (for joint Ph.D. programs), can participate in competitions independently of the Ukrainian institution higher education.
** Note that it is not necessary to be a student to participate in such scholarship competitions!

Please note that there are no intermediaries. Each applicant is submitted independently online and independently of the Ukrainian university. It is important to study in detail all the rules on the website of the relevant joint program, fill out, and submit the relevant documents online.

HOW TO PARTICIPATE?

STEP 1. Select your preferred learning program from the Common Programs catalog Erasmus Mundus Joint Degrees and check the deadlines for submitting documents on the website of the selected program.

STEP 2. If you need to clarify specific information on the submission of application documents, which is not available on the site of the selected program, you need to contact the program coordinator (contact information posted on the site of each joint program), which is a contact for communication, no other intermediaries. It is recommended to start communication with the contact person to clarify the information, if something is not clear, whether it is necessary to check. Usually, all the conditions, requirements, rules, grant size, and forms to fill out are presented on the website of the relevant joint educational program.

STEP 3. Since the submission of documents takes place online on the website of your chosen joint educational program, you need to fill out an online application and send in time a pre-prepared electronically package of documents:

  • cover letter;
  • resume (CV) according to the sample posted on the program website or in the format EUROPASS;
  • 2 (two) letters of recommendation from teachers or from the place of work: in English or with an officially certified translation;
  • educational documents (diplomas and appendices to them) in the form of certified copies and with an officially certified translation;
  • a copy of the academic transcript (transcript) with a list of all subjects studied with grades and grade point average (academic certificate form);
  • relevant certificate confirming the level of knowledge of a foreign language (requirements for the type of certificate and the level of language proficiency may differ);
  • officially certified copy of passport (notary).

STEP 4. After some time you will receive an e-mail notification of further participation in the competition.

STEP 5. If you pass the first stage of selection (according to the submitted documents), pass the online interview at the time set by the program.

STEP 6. Upon receipt of the notification and the official letter of enrollment in the program, it is necessary to timely apply for a visa to the country that is the first in the mobility scheme during the program. Regarding the condition for obtaining a study visa, contact the visa department of the Embassy of the country in the first year of study.

For reference : According to the results of six competitions of 2014-2019 individual scholarships for study at the Joint Educational Programs (KA111), 246 scholarship holders from Ukraine were selected, of which 232 Ukrainian students received scholarships for joint studies. Erasmus Mundus Master Courses and Erasmus Mundus Joint Master Degrees (EMJMDs). Fourteen students earn a Ph.D. in joint doctoral programs (Erasmus Mundus Joint Doctorates – EMJD).
Depending on the chosen master’s and doctoral programs, Ukrainian students began their studies at universities in Austria, Belgium, the Netherlands, Great Britain, Spain, Sweden, France, Italy, Germany and Portugal, and other Erasmus + member countries.
