From 9:00 on May 11 to 18:00 on June 3, the registration of entrants who plan to take the single entrance exam in a foreign language and the single professional entrance exam (EPI) for admission to study for a master’s degree will continue. This was reported by the official website of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine.
In order to comply with the same conditions for registration of the Ministry of Education and Science, Interim recommendations have been developed for the registration of entrants in 2021 to participate in a single entrance exam and a single professional entrance exam for use by admissions committees.
The main session of the unified entrance exam is held on June 30, the only professional entrance exam – on July 2 (the additional session is held within the time limits set by the Ukrainian Center for Educational Quality Assessment).
Preparation of additional professional entrance examinations (if such examination is provided by the Rules of admission of a higher education institution) for entrants who enter on the basis of a higher education degree (educational qualification level) obtained in another specialty (field of study) begins on May 11 and ends May 29.
Registration of electronic offices of entrants, download of necessary documents begins on July 1.
Acceptance of applications and documents for persons entering on the basis of the results of the single entrance examination and professional entrance examination begins on July 15, except for higher military educational institutions (higher education institutions with specific training conditions), military educational units of higher education institutions, and ends at 18:00 July 23.
Professional entrance examinations, as well as additional professional entrance examinations for entrants who enter on the basis of a higher education degree (educational qualification level) obtained in another specialty (field of study), and have already passed a single entrance exam, are held from July 19 to July 30.
Recommendations for enrollment by state order are provided no later than August 2. Submission of documents for enrollment in the budget will last until 18:00 on August 7. The order on enrollment by the state order is issued on August 12.
Transfer to vacant places of the state, regional order, and to places at the expense of target preferential state credits of the persons who are enrolled for training at the expense of physical or legal persons, is carried out not later than August 19.
Please note that the Conditions of Admission to Higher Education in 2021 define the categories of persons participating in the competitive selection based on the results of entrance examinations in higher education institutions (instead of EMI and EPI):
- persons who are unable to participate in the EMI/EPI due to the presence of diseases listed in the List of Diseases and Pathological Conditions that may be an obstacle to external independent evaluation;
- persons who, in order to perform the EMI/EPI, require the creation of other special conditions than the special (special) conditions specified in the List, which are created for persons with special educational needs at the points of external independent evaluation;
- entrants discharged from military service starting from April 1, 2021;
- contract servicemen, policemen, rescuers, privates and officers of the State Penitentiary Service, cadets of higher military educational institutions, higher education institutions with specific training conditions, military training units of higher education institutions when enrolling in educational programs in the field of knowledge 25 “Military sciences, national security, state border security.”
For admission to study for a master’s degree, applications and documents for persons entering on the basis of entrance examinations begin on June 22, except for higher military educational institutions (higher education institutions with specific training conditions), military educational units of higher education institutions. And ends on June 25 (instead of a document on the level of education can be submitted as a certificate of completion).
These entrance exams in higher education institutions are held according to the schedule of the main session of the EMI and the EHEA and the additional session (after determining the deadline) on the materials (tasks/notebooks) provided by the Ukrainian Center for Educational Quality Assessment.
The Ukrainian Center for Educational Quality Assessment provides materials for conducting entrance examinations in a higher education institution not earlier than the day preceding the day of the examination and not later than 11:30 on the day of the examination.
Applicants in this category do not need to pre-register in the period from May 11 to June 3, 2021.
When entering for higher education at the expense of individuals or legal entities on competitive proposals, which according to the Terms of Admission provide for a single entrance exam (except for specialties 081 “Law” and 293 “International Law”), entrants on the basis of a master’s degree (educational qualification level of a specialist) may, at their choice, either submit the result of a single entrance examination or pass the appropriate entrance examination in a higher education institution.
This entrance exam in higher education institutions is held in the period from July 19 to July 30, 2021, according to the schedule of entrance exams and tasks approved by the institution of higher education.
