Preliminary results of the introductory campaign among agricultural free economic zones

On August 23 at 18:00 the reception of electronic applications of entrants based on 11 classes, who plan to study in higher education institutions at the bachelor’s and master’s degree, ends. On July 24, all entrants will need to check the status of their applications in the personal account. Only those applications will take part in the competitive selection, which will have the status:

  • “Admitted to the competition” – for applications submitted to the budget;
  • “Admitted to the competition (training at the expense of individuals and legal entities)” – for applications exclusively for the contract.

And on July 28, entrants will find out whether they received a recommendation for training for state or regional orders as a result of a wide competition.

So, it is too early to talk about the final results of this year’s introductory campaign. But some conclusions can already be drawn based on data on the number of applications submitted by applicants to a particular institution of higher education. We analyzed the situation among 19 agricultural higher education institutions and included Kharkiv State University of Food and Trade in this ranking.

Like last year, the leader in the number of applications is the National University of Life and Environmental Sciences. According to the Unified State Electronic Database on Education, as of 4:00 a.m. on July 22, 2021, 19,117 applications were submitted to this university (for all specialties and all forms of education).

In the second place, as last year, is the Kharkiv Petro Vasylenko National Technical University of Agriculture – 7330 applications were submitted. And in third place Vinnytsia National Agrarian University – 5,717 applications.

The National University of Water Management and Nature Management (Rivne) and the Lviv National Agrarian University lag behind them. In one day, during which entrants can still apply for admission, the picture will not change significantly. Therefore, we can say that the National University of Life and Environmental Sciences and the Kharkiv Petro Vasylenko National Technical University of Agriculture are the most popular among this year’s entrants.

In the Admissions Committee of KhNTUA, we were told that among the 25 specialties offered by the university to entrants, the following are the most popular this year:

133 Industrial engineering;

208 Agroengineering;

073 Management;

051 Economics;

181 Food technology;

242 Tourism.

Indicators of the dynamics of submitting applications to the ARO profile agar profile can be seen in the table we have prepared: DYNAMICS OF SUBMISSION OF APPLICATIONS
