Tetyana Bondareva, a methodologist at the Vovchansk Vocational College of the Petro Vasylenko Kharkiv National Technical University of Agriculture, is involved in the development of standards for professional higher education in Ukraine. At the beginning of 2020, she passed a competitive selection to the scientific and methodological commission of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine (order №907 of 09.07.2020), was included in the subcommittee 014 “Secondary Education”, and later was elected chairman of this subcommittee.
As Tetyana explained to us, the duties of the chairperson of the subcommittee include planning, organizing, coordinating, and supervising the work of the members of the subcommittee, who create the draft standard of professional higher education. The chairman of the commission also presents at the meeting of the sector the results of work on the draft standard and communicates with other experts who carry out professional and methodological expertise.
On April 13, 2021, a regular meeting of the NMC 1 of the sector of professional higher education of the Ministry of Education and Science took place online, at which T. Bondareva presented a draft standard of professional higher education, developed by a team of specialists.
It should be noted that the creation of standards of professional higher education is one of the important stages in the formation and modernization of this level of education. After the approval of the standards, colleges and technical schools will be able to develop educational and professional programs for the educational and professional degree “professional junior bachelor”.
Tetyana Bondareva notes that the work on the creation of draft standards is still ongoing, but has already reached the finish line: professional and methodological expertise has been successfully passed.
