A significant part of students of the Kharkiv Petro Vasylenko National Technical University of Agriculture combines their studies with public and volunteer activities. The university management encourages such activities, considering it as an important element of patriotic education of young people and the formation of an active life position in them.

Even today, marketing students together with the head of the Department of Marketing and Media Communications O. Mandych took part in a charity event in support of low-income citizens of Kharkiv. Together with representatives of the Food for Life Charitable Foundation, they distributed ready-made lunches to single citizens and the elderly registered with the Department of Social Protection of the Kyiv District of Kharkiv. In total, student volunteers distributed about a hundred ready-made lunches, which were provided by philanthropists.

Oleksandra Mandych, Head of the Department of Marketing and Media Communications, says that this is not the first volunteer event in which KhNTUA students take part, and the cooperation within the Food for Life project lasts for about three years. She noted that students’ understanding of the importance and need to help people in any situation, active involvement in charitable projects, indicate their maturity as conscious members of society and we are very proud of it. Kateryna Petriyanchuk, Oleksandra Belinska, Darya Tkachenko and Hanna Kulish took part in this action..

One of the active participants in this project is also the president of the public organization All-Ukrainian Student Brotherhood “Elite of the Nation” Oleksiy Kurtsev. He believes that even in conditions of quarantine restrictions, assistance to lonely and vulnerable citizens is very important, so charity events under the project “Food for Life” volunteers will continue to hold in different parts of Kharkiv.
