What specialties are the most popular among this year’s entrants

The introductory campaign is coming to an end. Tomorrow, July 28, higher education institutions are to publish the ranking lists of bachelor’s and master’s degree entrants. And for future masters on the basis of a bachelor (master/specialist) for places at the expense of the budget, such lists will be published no later than August 2.

According to the state enterprise “Inforesurs”, 195 thousand 705 electronic offices of bachelor’s entrants are registered, which is 2.5% more than in 2020. 1 million 85 thousand 679 applications were submitted, which is almost 7% more than last year.

Applicants have created 64,873 e-offices for admission to the master’s program, which is almost 6% more than in 2020, and 166,534 applications have been submitted, which is almost 7% more than last year. To the institutions of higher education of Kharkiv and Kharkiv region … applications were submitted. The ten most popular free economic zones by the number of applications submitted are as follows:

  2. Law – 67,720;
  3. Computer Science – 66,123;
  4. Management – 62,227;
  5. Secondary education – 44,136;
  6. Software engineering – 43,618;
  7. Journalism – 43,215;
  8. Psychology – 39,529;
  9. Economy 37 – 464;
  10. Marketing – 36,080.

The largest number of applications for master’s degree applications were submitted for such specialties:

  1. Law – 23,404;
  2. Management – 11701;
  3. Secondary education – 9,280;
  4. Philology – 8,528;
  5. Computer Science – 8,511;
  6. Psychology – 6,373;
  7. Economy – 5,845;
  8. Finance, banking and insurance – 5,624;
  9. Public administration and administration – 4850;
  10. Computer Engineering – 4,058.
