The right priorities

This year the threshold of the Kharkiv Petro Vasylenko National Technical University of Agriculture will be transferred for the first time by more than 900 freshmen (future bachelors), who are enrolled in full-time education on the terms of the state budget and contract. Most of them are students majoring in Agricultural Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Power Engineering, Electrical Engineering and Electromechanics, Food Technology, and others.

For example, Mykita Ivanov came to our university from the village of Zlatoustivske, Volnovakha district, Donetsk region. This year he was lucky enough to enter the specialty 275 Transport Technologies and the guy is already preparing for initiation into students. Andrii Olshevskyy and his mother, who live in Korosten, Zhytomyr Region, also visited the university in a good mood. They said that they purposefully entered the Kharkiv Petro Vasylenko National Technical University of Agriculture for two specialties at once, and according to the results of a wide competition, Andriy entered the specialty Transport Technologies and will study at the expense of the budget. Currently, the boys and their mothers are solving household issues related to settling in a student dormitory, and hope that the reorganization of the university will not affect the quality of the educational process…

“This year’s admission campaign for our university was more successful than ever,” said Serhiy Skofenko, Executive Secretary of the Admissions Committee of KhNTUA – In total, more than 8,200 applications were submitted by entrants, which ensured a real competition between entrants. For some specialties (Law, Management, Agronomy, Computer Engineering) the competition among entrants who applied for budget places exceeded 170 points. Accordingly, the right to study at the expense of the state budget was given to those entrants who studied well in secondary schools and passed the external examination well. “It is a pleasure to note, said Serhiy Mykolayovych, that about 70 percent of this year’s entrants entered our university according to the first or second priorities. This testifies to the high authority and prestige of the university, which, without exaggeration, is one of the best agricultural institutions of higher education. ”
