Prospects for cooperation with Istanbul Technical University

As we have already informed, in early March this year delegation of KhNTUA consisting of the rector of the university O. Nanka, Vice-Rector for Research and Education and International Relations Yu. Vitkovskyi and the head of the training department for working with foreign citizens and stateless persons O. Azizov were in Turkey, where she held a series of working meetings with Turkish partners. One of such meetings took place at Istanbul Technical University, where representatives of KhNTUa met with their Turkish counterparts and discussed with them the development of Ukrainian-Turkish scientific-educational cooperation between universities, as well as preparations for the signing of the agreement.

During the meeting, the rector of KhNTUA O. Nanka briefly outlined the prospects of relations between the Kharkiv National Technical University of Agriculture. P. Vasylenko and the Technical University of Istanbul. It is planned that the universities will cooperate in double degree programs, which will provide an opportunity for Ukrainian and foreign students to study simultaneously in integrated curricula in two educational institutions of Ukraine and Turkey and receive two diplomas at the same time.

FOR REFERENCE. Istanbul Technical University is one of the oldest technical universities in the world, with a history of over 240 years. ITU conducts many scientific and technological developments, which provide 39 academic programs and 13 faculties.

The first satellite, the first electric mini-bass, the first hydrogen ship, the first autopilot, the first national computer, as well as the first university radio station, the first TV channel in Turkey – all were developed and launched at Istanbul Technical University. Cooperation with the ITU opens new opportunities for the development of Ukrainian technical institutions of higher education.
