The meeting was held in the conference hall of the university, where representatives of the administration were present, and most members of the staff participated in the meeting remotely via video. According to the first vice-rector of the university M. Lysychenko, the rector’s report was previously sent in the electronic form to the representatives of the structural units of the university and they already had the opportunity to get acquainted with it. Therefore, about 20 minutes were allotted for the rector’s report.
At the beginning of his report, the rector of KhNTUA O. Nanka noted that despite the difficult situation in Ukraine and the world, in 2020 the university continued to operate stably, maintained its human resources and financial stability, which is a very important indicator of higher education. Currently, according to independent ratings, KhNTUA ranks 3rd among agricultural institutions of higher education in Ukraine and 7th among all institutions of higher education in the Kharkiv region, this is the result of the work of the entire university staff.
Later in his report, the rector of KhNTUA focused on the main indicators of financial and economic activities of the university, educational, research, and more. In particular, OV Nanka stressed that the current financial year the university ends without debts on salaries, taxes, and utility bills, which is a very important condition for ensuring the stable operation of the Free Economic Zone and its development. The rector also summed up the results of this year’s admission campaign, emphasizing its positive and negative aspects, noted the importance of increasing the number of students studying by correspondence and contract, outlined the problems and prospects for international cooperation, etc.
In his report, the rector emphasized the need to find reserves for the development of research activities of the university, improving the quality of education, the development of grassroots sports among students, and more.
At the end of his report, O. Nanka thanked the members of the staff for their fruitful work in 2020 and wished everyone good health, peace and success, and the university prosperity..
The discussion of the report of the rector of KhNTUS was attended by the director of the Institute of MMS V. Vlasovets, head of the department A. Suska, Professor O. Shanina, Chairman of the Student Parliament O. Zaika, Executive Secretary of the Admissions Committee S. Skofenko, Vice-Rector for SPW, Economic Development and Infrastructure A. Mykytas.
Following the discussion, the report of the rector of KhNTUA O. Nanka was unanimously approved by the meeting of the labor collective. After that, Oleksandr Nanka once again thanked his colleagues for their trust and support and congratulated everyone on the upcoming New Year and Christmas holidays.
