On the eve of the New Year, a significant event took place at our university, which will undoubtedly go down in the history of KhNTUA. For outstanding merits in the development of the Kharkiv region and a significant contribution to the development of science and education of Kharkiv region, the rector of the University O. Nanka was awarded the honorary award of the Kharkiv Regional Council “Slobozhanska Slava”.
This high award was presented to Professor and Academician of the Academy of Engineering of Ukraine O. Nantsi by the President of the All-Ukrainian Association of Local Governments, Doctor of Science in Public Administration, and recently the Chairman of the Kharkiv Regional Council, S. Chernov, who personally visited the university and met with its leadership.
Presenting the honorary award to the rector, Serhii Chernov noted that it is the highest award of the Kharkiv Regional Council and thanked Oleksandr Nanka for his persistent and long-term work in the field of education and science and for significant contribution to the development of Kharkiv and Kharkiv region.
S. Chernov also congratulated the students and teachers of the university on a significant event – the 90th anniversary of the founding of the university, which is also not alien to him. It will be recalled that S. Chernov is a graduate of KhNTUА (formerly KHIMEА) and is also the chairman of the Supervisory Board of the university, which he is very proud of.
In turn, the rector of KhNTUА O. Nanka thanked the former chairman of the Kharkiv regional council, S. Chernov, for the high appreciation of his work and said that “Slobozhanskaya slava” is the merit of the entire staff of the university, which does much to increase its authority and prestige.
