From May 21 to 23, 2021, the European Greco-Roman Wrestling Championship among men under 23 took place in Macedonia, with Andriy Kulyk as its silver medalist.
Following the results of the championship, the national team of Ukraine in Greco-Roman wrestling won two silver and bronze medals at the championship.
In the weight category up to 72 kg, Kharkiv’s Andriy Kulyk successfully held three fights in which he defeated rivals from Germany, Hungary, and Belarus. In the decisive final match, he lost to Malk has Amoyan from Armenia.
Another Kharkiv Greco-Roman wrestler, Mykhailo Vyshnyvetskyy, took seventh place in the 130 kg weight category.
It will be recalled that both winners of the championship are students of the Kharkiv Petro Vasylenko National Technical University of Agriculture. Andriy Kulyk is successfully studying at the Faculty of Technological Systems and Logistics, and Mykhailo Vyshnevetsky is studying at the Institute of Mechatronics and Management Systems.
