On May 7, 2021, an online meeting “Hospitality Day of the Department of Accounting and Auditing of KhNTUA” was held for high school students, lyceums, and students of technical schools and colleges in the Kharkiv and Kharkiv region.
The event was opened with a welcoming speech by the Head of the Department of Accounting and Auditing, Doctor of Economics, Professor T. Marenych, who presented the specialties for which KNTUA trains applicants for higher education, and the benefits of studying at our university.
The organizers of the meeting paid special attention to the content of training students in specialties 071 “Accounting and Taxation” and 072 “Finance, Banking and Insurance”, for which the Department of Accounting and Auditing graduates. Prospective entrants were shown videos telling about these specialties.
Associate Professor of Accounting and Auditing S. Rudenko noted that the specialty 071 “Accounting and Taxation” is universal and professionally oriented to modern requirements in the labor market in the training of specialists in the field of knowledge and skills of accounting-analytical, control-audit, tax, and audit activities, ensuring financial and investment stability of enterprises and other business entities, including in the public sector. Specialty 072 “Finance, Banking and Insurance” forms specialists to work in financial institutions (banking institutions, insurance companies, local governments, treasury services, fiscal services) and financial services of enterprises and organizations of various forms of ownership.
Vitalina Strenadko, a second-year student of the Institute of Business and Management of KhNTUA, shared her impressions of studying in specialty 072 “Finance, Banking, and Insurance”. She first told about her history of defining a major for admission. The Educational and Scientific Institute of Business and Management of KhNTUA was chosen as a priority position among the strong free economic competitors. The student-focused on a wide range of modern disciplines to ensure a free trajectory of higher education in KNTUA, innovative teaching methods, opportunities to participate in student research, participation in international student exchange programs, interesting and diverse work of the student club.
Associate Professor of Accounting and Auditing L. Polyvana announced the results of the competition of works of art-poems “Accountant in today’s challenges”, the purpose and main objectives of which were to promote the modern profession of an accountant, identify talented young people and intensify career guidance among students.
At the end of the meeting, all interested parties received detailed answers to their questions about the benefits of specialties and features of studying at the university.
