Employees of the Department of Optimization of Technological Systems named after T. Yevsyukov continue to perform field studies of the quality of sowing of compatible forage crops with the experimental seeder Vega-8w Profi. This year, field research is carried out according to the calendar plan of the agreement “Research and improvement of the prototype sowing machine Vega-8w Profi for joint sowing of row crops” between PJSC “Elworthy” and KhNTUA.
At the beginning of May, corn of the Amarok variety and soybean of the Khutoryanka variety was sown and several experimental plots with different sowing variants were laid. Now it’s time to check the quality of work. To this end, at each experimental site, scientists randomly selected a certain part of the row and checked the number of plants that grew there, and the distance between each of them. The obtained results turned out to be better than in previous years. The research team was also satisfied with some design changes to the drill. The next stage of scientific research will be to determine the biological yield of sown crops.
The head of the scientific topic took part in the research: associate professor Mykhailo Tsyganenko and his colleagues from the department Oleksandr Romanashenko, Valentyn Kachanov, and Mykola Tsekhmeistruk. The general coordination of work is carried out by the vice-rector from the R&D of KhNTUA the doctor of technical sciences, professor Victor Melnik.
