The Department of Mechatronics and Machine Parts was established in 2017 following the order of the Rector of Kharkiv National Technical University of Agriculture named after Petro Vasylenko № 01-08 / 249 dated 19.07.2017 by uniting specialists in the field of mechatronics, machine parts, and quality management systems based on the department of machine parts.
The Department of Machine Parts was founded in 1930 with the establishment of the Kharkiv Institute of Agricultural Mechanization, which studied the basic technical disciplines for the development of methods, rules, and norms of calculation and design of standard details і assembly units machines . Synthesizing the achievements of mathematical and technical sciences with the results of laboratory research and the practice of using different machines, these disciplines are the theoretical basisмашинобудування and first of all such an important component of mechanical engineering as engineering designing.
The department was headed by associate professors Knyazyuk G., Tishchenko T., Dolgov V., Karpenko V., Khatsinov N., Klafas H., Zaika P., Minyailo A., Mazorenko D., Ryabkov A. In 1998 Tishchenko L. became the head of the department. In 2004 the department of quality, certification, and standardization of products separated from the department, and the department became known as the department of machine parts and PTM.
The Department of “Quality, Standardization, and Certification” was established based on the decision of the Academic Council of the University from 25.12.03. The department was established to concentrate efforts on educational and methodological support of training students in the specialty “Quality, Standardization and Certification” and compliance with the requirements for accreditation of the specialty. The need for specialists in quality management, standardization, and certification is determined by Ukraine’s movement towards the European Community, the desire to join the World Trade Organization (WTO), as well as regional policy and the Ministry of Agrarian Policy of Ukraine, which aims to produce quality, certified products, services, and works performed at the level of international standards. The department was headed by Ph.D., Associate Professor Lukianenko V.
Today the Department of Mechatronics and Machine Parts of the Educational and Scientific Institute “Mechatronics and Management Systems” of the Kharkiv National Technical University of Agriculture named after Petro Vasylenko is an educational and scientific structural unit that provides:
- implementation of all types of educational, scientific-methodical, scientific, cultural-educational works, the introduction of results of scientific and technical progress into production;
- training of scientific personnel through postgraduate and doctoral studies;
- advanced training of teachers and specialists in areas 208 – “Agroengineering”, 133 – “Industrial Engineering”;
- implementation of other types of activities: career guidance, business, international, etc.) in accordance with the Charter of the University.
