I am Dudin Yevhen. I am the student of the 31st group of the Institute of ECT. I was an internship in Poland at the plant “LG Electronics” in Wroclaw from 04.05.2018 to 20.10.2018.
LG Electronics is a South Korean company that is one of the world’s largest manufacturers of home appliances. This corporation was founded in 1958. Now the compan owns 114 companies worldwide. One of the company’s plants is located in Wroclaw, Poland.
The factory, where I did my internship, makes refrigerators and washing machines. The technological process at the enterprise is a conveyor production. The plant operates around the clock, in three shifts. All trainees were asked to choose a work shift. I chose the second one – from 3:00 am to 3:00 pm. I worked 6 days a week. The company provides a full social package: light meals, medical care, delivery to and from work at the expense of the company. Accommodation is also provided free of charge. The apartment is equipped with a kitchen with all conditions. The company has areas for rest and meals with snack vending machines. In general, we cooked on our own. Nearby were supermarkets and shops with all kinds of shops.
The leadership organized thematic events in the fresh air to improve the professional level and get acquainted with Korean culture.
I quickly became friends with the Poles. Thanks to this I already speak Polish quite deftly. So, I feel free in a foreign country, in Poland. People say that Poles do not like Ukrainians very much, but I can say that I was lucky: my leaders, Mr. Tomasz and Mrs. Biata, were very kind to me, helped me, and supported me morally.
In six months of work, I have mastered several technological processes that will be needed when working as a technical operator in the fields of automation and electronics.
I had free time that I devoted to tourism. My friends and I visited Dresden (Germany) and Prague (Czech Republic), and of course we took a walk through charming Wroclaw. “City of a Hundred Bridges”, “Polish Venice” – this is the name of ancient Wroclaw, located on 12 islands on the river Odra and its five tributaries. Wroclaw enchants with cute houses, funny gnomes, incredible atmosphere, creative restaurants and cafes, interesting museums, bookstores, friendly people.
I am very grateful to the lidership of the Institute of ECT for the opportunity to do an internship in such a modern production as the plant “LG Electronics” in Wroclaw. I hope I will still have the opportunity to do an internship at companies in other countries.
