The newspaper “Vremya” published an article “Portrait of the Rector at the Modern Technical University: Alexander Nanka”, dedicated to the rector of the Kharkiv Petro Vasylenko National Technical University of Agriculture. On the eve of the anniversary, which Oleksandr will celebrate on March 13, the newspaper’s special correspondent Olena Zelenina talks about the path to the science of the future rector of KhNTUA and his contribution to the development of the university. His classmates and colleagues also tell about the rector of one of the best agricultural institutions of higher education in Ukraine.

— I can remember the time when Alexander Vladimirovich was still only deans of correspondence and distance learning, – says the candidate of technical sciences, associate professor Sergei Shushlyapin. – Even at the dawn of the “zero” years, when few of us thought about distance learning using virtual technologies, he was one of the initiators of the formation of a system of such education in agricultural education, and our university was one of the first in this process…

— Alexander has a strategic type of thinking and a strategic type of management, when he, relying on the existing potential of the university and developing it, taking into account the influence of a combination of external and internal factors, sees and sets for his employees promising and large-scale goals, – says the professor of the UNESCO Chair “Philosophy of Human communication ”and social and humanitarian disciplines, head of the media communication department of the KhNTUA Lyudmila Firsova. – Alexander Vladimirovich is not only a knowledgeable manager but also a teacher who loves students and knows how to cooperate both with them and with teachers…

— In my life, Alexander, one might say, played a decisive role, – says Doctor of Psychology, Professor Alexei Kostrikin. – We are classmates. He studied at one grade. A handsome, sociable person who found difficult studies at a technical university surprisingly easy, helped his fellow students a lot, participated in all student events…
