According to the official website of the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky told how much the smartest pupils and students will receive by the decree on the establishment of presidential scholarships, awards, and grants. The best participants in the external independent evaluation will receive a monthly presidential scholarship of 10 thousand UAH. – a one-time prize of UAH 20,000, and the winners of international competitions – UAH 100,000. This was announced by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky in his blog.
“The most important thing is our children. The future of our country. I signed a decree on awards, scholarships, and grants for the smartest, most talented students in Ukraine. At present, the government is preparing the procedures for their accruals,” – the Head of State said.
According to the President, the results of the External Independent Evaluation will provide 250 scholarships for 10 students from each region of Ukraine, provided that the child chooses and studies at a Ukrainian university.
“Every year, the top 10 best students of each region will be determined based on the results of the external evaluation. Each of these students will receive a scholarship – 10 thousand hryvnias per month. That is only 120 thousand per year each, “Volodymyr Zelenskyi said.
Also, according to the decree of the Head of State, there are prizes for the winners of the All-Ukrainian Student Olympiads in the form of a one-time payment of UAH 20,000 each and the winners of international Olympiads – UAH 100,000 each.
“I will add separately: the winners of all-Ukrainian and international Olympiads also receive monthly scholarships from the President, this is already in effect,” Volodymyr Zelenskyi said.
Besides, according to him, presidential grants will be allocated annually for higher education abroad – in universities in the United States, Great Britain, Germany, France, Canada, Japan, China, South Korea, and more.
“Mandatory condition: after graduation – return to Ukraine and work in the civil service for three years,” said the President.
“We are fighting for our talented youth, for them to work for the good of Ukraine in the future, and we will support them as soon as we can,” he added.
