In early March this year Scientific and pedagogical staff of the Department of Life Safety and Law, Candidate of Technical Sciences, Associate Professor V. Zadorozhnya, Candidate of Technical Sciences, Associate Professor I. Cherepnyov, and Senior Lecturer L. Pereverzeva, following the recommendations of the SES of Ukraine, conducted unscheduled practical classes with students of group 14 P, during which they practiced with them the methods of providing pre-medical care to persons who have received injuries of various origins. The lesson was conducted within the framework of the complex discipline “Life safety, basics of labor protection and civil protection”.
During the lesson, the instructors paid special attention to the possibility of using improvised means to stop bleeding and fix fractures of the extremities, as well as the technique of helping a person with loss of consciousness.
Of course, we would like our students to never have to apply this knowledge in practice, but if the need arises, they will be ready to provide first aid.
