In 1976 he graduated from the Kharkiv Automobile and Road Technical School with a degree in Motor Roads and Airports.

2001 – defended his dissertation for the degree of Candidate of Technical Sciences on the topic: “Improvement of technical and economic characteristics of a tractor diesel engine using a wave pressure exchanger.”
