By order of № 508 MSG of the USSR of December 26, 1973, a faculty for advanced training of managers and specialists in agriculture was opened at the Kharkiv Institute of Mechanization and Electrification. Subsequently, the activities of the faculty were expanded to the department for advanced training of teachers of agricultural colleges and the directive letter of the Ministry of Agriculture of Ukraine -18 37-18-2-13 / 1180 from March 1, 1994 on the opening of the department for advanced training of teachers of higher educational institutions. By the order of KhNTUA dated 30.12.2009 № 01-08 / 331 from 01.01.2010 the faculty was renamed into the Educational and Scientific Institute of Postgraduate Education.
Educational activities are carried out in basic accredited areas and specialties.
The main areas of work of the Institute are advanced training of managers, executives, and specialists of agro-industrial complex, specialists of enterprises of various forms of ownership of Ukraine and abroad, teachers of technical schools, teachers of higher educational institutions of II-IV levels of accreditation. , training of specialists in working professions.
