Every year students of Kharkiv Petro Vasylenko National Technical University of Agriculture have an internship at agricultural enterprises in Germany, Switzerland, the Kingdom of the Netherlands
These countries are the most developed agricultural countries in the world. By participating in international internship programs, students have the opportunity to gain invaluable experience at the European and international levels, improve their knowledge of a foreign language, as well as get acquainted with the culture, customs, and traditions of a country.
GERMANY
In the framework of cooperation between KNTUA and the Bavarian Farmers’ Union Agroimpuls Bayern e.V. with the support of the Bavarian Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Forestry, we invite everyone to take an internship at German agricultural enterprises lasting from 3 to 12 months in the following areas:
- Dairy farms
- Breeding pigs
- Pig fattening
- Horsemanship
- Growing vegetables
- Viticulture
- Agricultural tourism
Placing:
- a separate room in the farmer’s house
Food:
- three meals a day (breakfast, lunch and dinner) with the farmer’s family, coffee breaks are also possible
Insurance:
- for the entire period of practice is provided health insurance, insurance against accidents and damages at the enterprise
Requirements for candidates:
- passport
- basic knowledge of German (agricultural vocabulary)
- Sufficient motivation and interest in doing agricultural practice abroad
- Category B and tractor driver’s license
Conditions of practice:
- Practical training follows the practice plan
- Throughout the internship, the intern must keep a diary-report in German, assisted by the internship supervisor.
- The trainee will receive a monthly stipend in accordance with German law.
- Upon completion of the internship, a certificate of internship is issued
SWITZERLAND
In the framework of cooperation between KNTUA and the Swiss Farmers’ Union, we invite everyone to take an internship at Swiss agricultural enterprises lasting from 3 to 18 months in the following areas:
- Dairy farms
- Breeding pigs
- Pig fattening
- Horsemanship
- Growing vegetables, fruits and berries
- Viticulture
- Cheese production
Placing:
- a separate room in the farmer’s house or living in a separate house
Food:
- three meals a day (breakfast, lunch and dinner) with the farmer’s family, coffee breaks are also possible
Insurance:
- for the entire period of practice is provided health insurance, insurance against accidents and damages at the enterprise
Requirements for candidates:
- passport
- basic knowledge of German (agricultural vocabulary)
- Sufficient motivation and interest in doing agricultural practice abroad
- Category B driver’s license
Conditions of practice:
- Practical training follows the practice plan
- The probationary period is 1 month
- Be sure to participate in seminars organized by the Swiss side
- The trainee will receive a monthly stipend in accordance with Swiss cantonal law.
- Upon completion of the internship, each intern is issued a certificate or performance
